Sec. 4-2. - Building code standards.
The standards to be met are the standards embodied in the 1994 Standard Building Code, with the following approved appendices:
Appendix A - Weights of Building Materials
Appendix B - Recommended Schedule of Permit Fees;
Appendix D - Standards for Demolition;
Appendix E - Energy Conservation;
Appendix F - Recommended Guide for the Establishment of a Fire District;
Appendix H - Manufactured Homes Tie Down Standards;
to be updated automatically on a three-year cycle of the code in effect on the date of application for the permit.
In the event any of the aforementioned appendices are in conflict with other provisions of the Code of Ordinances, the more restrictive shall prevail and be controlling.

Editor's note— Ord. No. 95-55, adopted Aug. 14, 1995, amended § 4-2 which pertained to the adoption of a building code for the city. Ord. No. 97-17, adopted June 16, 1997, repealed Ord. No. 95-55. Provisions of Ord. No. 97-17 which pertained to similar subject matter has been designated herein as § 4-2. Formerly, § 4-2 also provided for the adoption of an elimination and repair of unsafe buildings code.
